Time of Examination : 3 sessions
i) Paper – I General studies & Arithmetic – 2 hours (from 11:00 hrs. to 13:00 hrs.)
ii) Paper – II English – 1 hour (from 14:00 hrs. to 15:00 hrs.)
iii) Paper – III Bengali / Nepali / Urdu / Hindi – 1 hour (from 15:30 hrs. to 16:30 hrs.)

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS :
1. No candidate shall be allowed entry into examination venue/hall without the downloaded Admit Card from official website of West Bengal Police.

2. The candidate should be seated in the examination hall at his/her respective venue 30 minutes before the commencement of examination of Paper – I. No candidate will be allowed entry into the examination hall after commencement of the first examination. The candidate would be allowed to leave the hall after all the examinees hand over Paper-I in a particular room. They will however not crowd around other rooms or leave the venue under any pretext. A candidate who leaves the venue will not be readmitted for next session(s). As there is only a 30 minute gap between the examination of Paper – II and Paper – III, no candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall during that period of time.

3. The candidate will fill in his/her personal particulars immediately on receipt of Answer Books provided to him/her before answering the questions in the examination.

4. The candidate must bring his/her own clip board, pen(s) to the examination hall. The candidate is advised not to bring with him/her any books, notes, papers, calculator, mobile phones or any electronic gadgets to the examination venue as there is no arrangement for keeping of these articles at the examination venues. Candidate will be subjected to a search of his/her person (including ladies handbag) and he/she is expected to cooperate with the personnel on duty at the entrance. Any candidate found in the possession of incriminating material(s)/gadgets during examination shall be disqualified from the examination and departmental action will be taken against the candidate. Further, any kind of canvassing for getting through the examination will lead to the cancellation of the candidature at any stage of the examination. The candidate must not leave the examination hall without handing over the Answer Book to the invigilator of the said hall.
