ADMIT CARD INSTRUCTIONS :
1. Applicants who have not submitted their DD (for Rs.1000/-) and attested copies of the necessary documents to TMI should bring them to the test centre along with 2 additional copies of recent passport size photographs with their form no. written on the reverse.
2. Applicants who have paid application fees online and have not sent the form and documents to TMI must bring the form, two passport size photographs and copies of all documents, as mentioned in the form, to the test centre. Please note that eligibility of such applicants could not be confirmed in absence of supporting documents. Further admission process will be conducted only if such applicants are found eligible. Such applicants will not be allowed without form and documents.
3. Personal interviews will also be conducted at the test centres on the day of Online Test either before or after the test.
4. We endeavour to complete all formalities in one working day. However, in case interviews are delayed, you may be required to stay till the next day.
5. Dress code for the interview is half or full sleeves shirt with shirt tucked-in trousers. (Tie optional)
6. Candidates to please note that there will be a section with negative marking in Physics and Maths. There will be no negative marking in other subjects.
7. Applicants required to produce this admit card along with original photo ID card issued by the schools /Institutes or copy of X/XII Certificate.
TMI SAT-2015 – INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES :
TEST CENTER REGULATIONS :
** Date, Time and Venue of the test given in the admit card.
** Be present in the test venue 45 minutes before the starting time of the test.
** Do not carry any of your belongings except pencils & pens to the workstation where you are expected to take the test.
** Use of calculators and cellular phones is not permitted. Cellular/Mobile phones are neither allowed inside the examination hall nor the center will take care of them if you bring along. Hence do not bring them.
** Only one scratch booklet will be provided at the workstation for rough work. You need to manage with that.
** You are not allowed to eat, drink or smoke in the testing room.
** The administrator is authorized to dismiss you from the test session for any of the following reasons:
o Creating disturbance.
o Attempting to take the test on behalf of someone else.
o Talking to other test taker/s.
o Attempting to tamper with the computer system – either hardware or software.
o Use of calculators, slide rules, cell phones, concealed microphones, wireless devices or any other material that may aid in answering questions.
SLOTWISE REPORTING AND INTERVIEW TIME:

Slot 1 0815 hrs 0900 hrs – 1100 hrs 1115 hrs – 1400 hrs
Slot 2 0900 hrs 1200 hrs – 1400 hrs 0915 hrs – 1130 hrs
Slot 3 1415 hrs 1500 hrs – 1700 hrs 1715 hrs onwards
Negative marking:
Candidates to please note that there will be a section with negative marking in Physics and Maths (-1/4 for each wrong answer). There will be no negative marking in other subjects.
TEST TIMING & BREAKS
** The test you are taking is the On-line TMI SAT of 120 minutes duration.
** You will be taking the on-line test at a workstation. On completion of this test, please raise your hand. The Administrator will then convey you the marks obtained.
** No break is permitted between the sections of the online TMISAT.
TESTING PROCEDURE : ON-LINE TMISAT
** The Online Test you are about to take has 100 Questions in Six sections and the total time allowed is 120 minutes :
o Section I, English, consists of 10 questions.
o Section II, Mathematics, consists of 30 questions.
o Section III, Physics, consists of 30 questions.
o Section IV, Chemistry, consists of 10 questions.
o Section V, Logic, consists of 10 questions.
o Section VI, Analytical, Consists of 10 questions.
** In each of these sections, every question is followed by 4 answer options. Choose the option that is most appropriate. Indicate your answer by clicking on the circle adjacent to the option you think is right.
** You can go to any question directly by clicking on the question number, which will appear at the bottom of the screen. The answered question number will be marked Green and the unanswered / skipped question number will remain in white.
** If you are doubtful of the answer, you can mark a question which is indicated with ‘^’ under the question number. This will be unmarked automatically, once you come back to the same question at a later time.
** If you want to change your answer to any question, you may select the question and change the answer by clicking on the appropriate answer.
** By clicking on the already answered option you can deselect the same.
Negative Marking : Candidates to please note that there will be a section with negative marking in Physics and Maths (-1/4 for each wrong answer). There will be no negative marking for other subjects.
** You have the option of hiding the timer displayed at the top of the screen and activating it whenever you want to. However, the timer pops up 5 minutes before the time allotted to the section ends.
** If you have completed answering all the questions in a section, you can advance to the next section even if you still have some time left in this section. The system prompts whether you would like to proceed to the next section ( OK button ) or stay in the current section ( click on the Cancel button ).
** You can move between sections at your will.
** The test closes automatically once the allotted time of 120 Minutes is over.
** Once you complete the on-line test, your score will be displayed on the screen.
** Raise your hand once the score appears on the screen.
CONCERNS :
** If you have concerns about the wording of a test question, make a note of the same on your scratch paper / booklet and report to the Administrator at the end of the test.
** You need to note the question itself, not the question number as the questions are randomly generated.
SCORING INFORMATION :
The score that is generated on completion of the test indicates the total number of questions attempted correctly, the total number of questions in each section, your percentage in each section, and also your overall percentage.
What is the syllabus for TMISAT?
The test is based on 11th and 12th CBSE standard Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus plus English grammar, vocabulary and Logical & Analytical reasoning. As this is online objective type test, there are no previous year question banks available.
How many questions are there in the test?
There are 100 questions altogether.
Is there any negative marking?
There is a section with negative marking in Physics and Maths. In other subjects, there is no negative marking. Detailed briefing is given at the centre before start of the test.
What is the duration of TMISAT?
The test is of 2 hrs. duration.
What is the difference between the online test conducted in April/May and in June?
There is no difference in the tests. Merit list is common.
Can I appear in TMISAT in April/May as well as in June?
No. You can appear in the test only once in a year.
When are TMISAT results declared?
Marks scored in the test are seen immediately on the screen after completing the test.
When are the interviews conducted?
Normally, interviews are conducted on the same day as that of TMISAT and at the centre itself.
