ISRO Assistant/UDC Download Call Letter
Call letters have been sent to the registered e-mail ids of the candidates who had exercised option for written test city. Candidates may download the below link provided in the advertisement. Written test for assistant/upper division clerk is scheduled to be held on 10.12.2023 forenoon and junior personal assistant/stenographer on 10.12.2023 afternoon. Call letter(s) will be issued during 4th/5th week of November, 2023.

Selection Process
a) Written test will be conducted at eleven venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. However, ISRO reserves the right to cancel/change the written test venue and re-allot the candidates to any other test centre. The call letters for written test will be sent only to the registered e-mail ID of candidates.
Written test :
Single Objective type paper with a duration of 120 minutes (with compensation time as applicable for PwBD candidates).
Qualifying marks :
a) 50% marks (in Part A, B, C & D) for UR category;
b) 40% marks (in Part A, B, C & D) for reserved categories against notified reserved vacancies.
Skill Test :
a) Based on performance in the written test, candidates will be short-listed for skill test in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum) to the category-wise number of vacancies, with minimum of 10 candidates. For reserved vacancies, distinct/additional candidates will be short-listed in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum), without regard to the reserved candidates if any, short-listed under UR category;
Passing Criterion:
60 % marks for UR category;
50 % marks for Reserved categories against notified reserved vacancies.
** If sufficient number of candidates for empanelment (select list & wait list) do not qualify the skill test, then additional candidates will be short-listed for skill test, in the ratio of 1:5 to the extent of such short-fall.
** Final selection will be based on marks scored in the written test from among the candidates who qualify in the skill test.
** In the event of a tie in Written Test marks, the inter-se merit of candidates will be decided based on the following tie-breakers to be applied one after the other on need basis: –
i) Marks scored in ‘General Intelligence & Reasoning ability’ in the written test;
ii) Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher.

General English:
Questions to test the candidate’s understanding & knowledge of the language and ability to write correctly, precisely & effectively, correct use of words, idioms&phrases, etc.
Quantitative Aptitude:
Questions on Number System, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Discount, Ratio & Proportion, Mixer & Allegation, Averages, Simple & Compound interest, Time & distance, Time & Work, Pipe & Cistern, Boat & Stream, Partnership, Surds & Indices, LCM & HCF, Simplification, Geometry (Triangles, Circles, Quadrilateral, Lines & Angles etc), Mensuration (Area, Perimeter, Volume etc), Trigonometry (Trigonometric Identities, Trigonometric Ratios, Circular measures of Angles, Heights & distance etc), Algebra (Factorisation, Coordinate Geometry, Polynomials, Sequence & Series, Algebraic identities, Linear equations etc), Statistics & data interpretation, etc.
General Intelligence & Reasoning ability :
Verbal & non-verbal type questions on Missing Number, Repeated Series, Analogy, Venn diagram, Logical arrangement of Words, Coding & decoding, Sitting arrangement, ranking arrangement, Dice, Cube & Cuboid, Calendar, Number Series, Coded equation, Clock, Directions, Counting figures, Problems based on Alphabets, Sequence, Mirror and Water Image etc.
General Knowledge:
Questions to test the candidates’ awareness of the environment around him and its applications to the society, current affairs of National & International importance etc. The test will also include questions on History, Culture, Geography, Science, Polity, Economy etc.
