What is UPPSC State Engineering Service Exam?
UPPSC stands for Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. This is a government-established commission that aims at providing state-level government jobs to the youth of Uttar Pradesh. UPPSC AE is a recruitment examination conducted to recruit eligible and able candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer.
As per the new selection process, there is no main examination in the UPPSC AE, there will be only one objective type of written exam. The selection process will consist of 2 stages: Objective type exam (Paper-I, Paper-II), and Interview. The written exam will be conducted in the coming months.
Under the Government of India Act 1935, for the first time, provision was made for the formation of Public Service Commissions at the provincial level. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission was constituted on 1 April 1937 with its headquarters at Allahabad. The working of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is also regulated by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Regulation, 1976.
