Examination will be held at different venues in Kolkata and outlying centres on 16th & 17th March, 2024 (Saturday & Sunday) from 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., 12.30 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. (three sessions each day). Step-2 : Select (Admit Card Data Search) Application/Enrollment Id OR First Name
Step-3 : Enter Application/Enrollment Id or First Name
Step-4 : Enter Date of Birth
Step-5 : Click on “Download” Button
Note: Your Application Id for Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector in the Subordinate Food & Supplies Service, Grade-III, under Food & Supplies Department, Govt. of West Bengal, 2022 starting with “2304” is available in Login/Signin Section.
Instructions of Candidates
** Admit cards of the candidates will have to be downloaded from the Commission’s website at https://psc.wb.gov.in on and from the 2nd March, 2024.
** A candidate meant for a particular venue, date and session will, under no circumstances, be allowed to appear in any other venue, date and session. No request in this regard will be entertained.
** Please note that the entry into the examination venue shall be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled time of commencement of the examination. No candidate shall be allowed to enter into the examination venue after the closing time.
** No candidate will be allowed to take away question booklets even after the conclusion of the examination.
** Candidates are not permitted to use the washroom during the currency of the examination, except in exigency.
** Candidates are advised not to bring any item except those required for the purpose of examination, e.g. Admit card, id proof, photograph etc.
** Carrying / using mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, portable scanner, bluetooth device, gadgets of communication and clipboard are completely banned inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Infringement of this instruction will attract penal action including ban from future examinations.
Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones or any valuable / costly items to the venue of the examination as arrangement for safekeeping can not be assured. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
Wearing of mask/face cover and using sanitizer are advised for all candidates. PwBD (CT) and PwBD (CTs) candidates are requested to follow the instructions given in the Admit Card thoroughly.
** All instructions mentioned in the Admit Card must be followed meticulously.
Scheme & Syllabus of Examination
Scheme of Examination:
A. Written Examination:
The Examination will consist of only one paper on –
(i) General Studies (ii) Arithmetic
Total Marks – 100 (50 marks each).
Duration of examination will be 1½ hours.
The examination will be held on multiple choice objective type questions.
B. Personality Test:
Full Marks – 20
A limited number of candidates selected meritwise on the results of written examination will be called to appear at the personality test.
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in the written examination and the marks obtained in the personality test.
The Commission, shall have the discretion to fix qualifying marks in the written examination, the personality test and also in the aggregate.
Syllabus of the Written Examination:
(i) General Studies (Matters of common experience including every day science, current events and problems with special reference to India, elementary knowledge of Indian History and Indian Geography).
(ii) Arithmetic (Questions will be set on the basis of the syllabus of Madhyamik Examination of the W.B.B.S.E. with mental ability).
(iii) Assessment and evaluation of answer scripts done by the Commission shall be final.
