Hall Tickets (Admit cards) of the candidates for the written Examination for the recruitment of Lecturers in Non-Government. Aided colleges of the State scheduled to be held on 03.12.2023 have been hosted in the official website of the State Selection Board. Candidates are advised to download their Admit cards by entering their date of birth and mobile numbers as mentioned in their online application forms.
Procedure Of Selection for Lecturer
Admission to the Written Examination/Viva Voice Test will be provisional. lf, on verification at any stage before or after the Written Examination/Viva Voice test, it is found that a candidate does not fulfil all the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature will be liable for rejection
The selection shall be on the basis of written test, career and viva-voice test taken together. The distribution of marks for the career assessment is as follows:
(a) Career Assessment: Marks: 25
Candidates possessing M.Phil., Ph.D. & NET in the subject concerned shall be awarded maximum 25 marks. Similarly, candidates possessing M.Phit./J.R.F and / or NET or M.Phil. with NET will be awarded maximum of 10 marks.
(b)The distribution of marks will be as follows:
Career – 25 Marks
Written (Muttiple Choice Type) – 150 Marks
Viva-voice – 25 Marks
– 200 Marks
(c) There shall be a Written Examination of two hours duration in the subject concerned as per the model syllabus uploaded in the website carrying 150 marks. Questions for 150 marks shall be of Multiple-Choice type which are to be answered in OMR Answer Sheet.
There shall be 100 questions having equal weightage. White for each right answer, 1.5 marks will be awarded, for each wrong answer there will be negative marking of 0.5 mark. The Written Examination for all subjects shall be held in one sitting on a single day.
(d) The candidates shall be called in for document verification by the State Selection Board in order of merit equal to three times the number of vacancies in each subject. To be eligible for shortlisting, a candidate has to secure minimum qualifying marks of 40% (30% in case of ST/SC/SEBC/PwD candidates) in the written examination.
(i) In case of tie for shortlisting, the Written Test marks will be taken into consideration and accordingly the panel for interview will be prepared.
(ii) In case of tie for final selection of candidates, the marks secured in both Written Test and Viva voice will be taken into consideration.
If there is a second tie, then the aggregate percentage of marks secured in the Post Graduate Examination will be considered. In case of further tie, the dates of birth of the selected candidates will be taken into account for considering the seniority between the two and final merit list will be prepared accordingly.
Zones Of Examination for Lecturer
The written examination shall be held at Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Bolangir, Cuttack, Jeypore and Sambalpur zones depending upon the number of candidates from the respective zones. ln case sufficient numbers of candidates are not available for any of the zones, the candidates opting for those zones would be accommodated in the nearest zone. Request for change of zone shall not be entertained.
